Kensmyth

Dunedin is a town in the South Island of New Zealand and is beautiful with its quaint houses in bright colours, with the sun on it just recently as I was driven through the crazy new town centre system (does anyone heed Rights of Way signs these days) I thought of Dunedin with the colours…

I am always struck by the beauty of the church but what a shame so many shops are closing down… House of Fraser being so big on that side leaves a hole someone great is going to have to fill…

well in the midst of tragedy, farming life always goes on as these Sunsets confirm…

and the weather is turning and Winter is coming but first the Autumn fruits… will be ready soon

knowing rumour mills and how they work, please respect our privacy following the sudden and tragic death of my husbands Mother in the early hours of this morning. whilst a frail not 100% well lovely old lady it was not expected at this time despite her nearly 89 years of age.

Rest in peace little one.

I always have a song for people I love but the one that springs to mind following this is simply DIDO as I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye…

well, for those of you following the British Spotted Pony stories at Kensmyth, you will be delighted to know that although you have already seen him in his pyjamas, the sire of one of our foals due for next year is here in the Horse and Hound in his full glory – Araki Spot the Difference – with Richard of course

With everyone mated and spat off (Alpaca) and all mares in foal there is much anticipation for 2020… only tupping remains on the calendar for the livestock now!

well somebody had a birthday – how time flies

but due to the rain… that day the enthusiasm was rather thwarted LOL

Well some Alpaca Mums… and Cria too are excellent flock guards and this year is no exception LOL

the beauty of a sunrise when you have a cuppa in your hand… and the sweet smell of Alpaca, sheep and horses

Horsey folk amongst our followers have watched Kensmyths first ever Draught Foal born at Clay Meadow with interest as he has grown. Now, sadly he is changing his foal coat – so place your bets now. the owner of the stallion – his sire – reckons he will go dark liver chestnut, I think he might be going Grey or just changing bay as his mane is darkening but we enjoyed his vibrant sunshine chestnut coat whilst it lasted…

well apparently Spring Watch is filmed there but as I don’t watch it, I don’t know. time on a rainy day found us out and about in the Cotswolds for recommendations for our Clients who visit and stay locally. We have found the most amazing Café in Sherborne – I can tell you. Real welcome, real coffee, really loads of raisins in the bun!
