All ports warning for Alpaca in the heat folks. ironic that coming from South America some of them will react to harsh sunshine and lay out in it until they literally burn… if you do not provide them with shade so you MUST. imagine yourself outside without shade in burning heat and see how you feel. it will kill cria who must also always have access to shade and water. providing paddling pools is all very well BUT if a cria falls in their temperature will drop rapidly and they will die of hypothermia in minutes when very young… best use sprinklers safely.
